With flora pondtemporary, the Stiftsteiche in St.Florian will become an exhibition site for young contemporary art. Initiator of the project is the Viennese artist-run space of the association Kulturdrogerie, which exists since 2005 and has already realized countless projects in Austria and abroad.The art project flora pondtemporary deals, among other things, with the highly topical question of how contemporary art can balance the contrasts between city and country, space and compression, tradition and trend.

The title of the project, flora pondtemporary, plays on the concept of contemporary art, with pond and flora referring to the monastery ponds in the countryside. The works respond to the natural environment and thematically also refer to man's relationship with nature.
