Mother Of Pearl

On July 19, 2022, the Mother Of Pearl collective invited to an organ performance at the Mother Of Pearl Pavilion.

Klaus Sonnleitner, the collegiate organist in St. Florian, played on a processional organ and a portative.

The processional organ, dating from the first half of the 17th century, was provided by the Augustinian Canons Regular Monastery of St. Florian for the organ performance.

Inspired by the pavilion, the monastery ponds and nature, Klaus Sonnleitner improvised on the organ, which is one of the oldest organs in Austria.

On the portativ, an organ that fits into a backpack, he played selected compositions from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
